Funny how these things work out. For the New Year, I had decided that I would come back to this blog and figure out why it never went anywhere and attempt to now do something with it. Immediately upon returning to this page my abandonment made perfect sense. I had originally created this blog back in October of 2009. Less then a month later (Nov. 3rd if memory serves me correctly), I would find out that I was going to be blessed with the birth of my first born, my genes (poor thing), my legacy, my son. That's right I was preggers raguuuuu!
A lot has changed since that original posting but a lot has stayed the same. Now I am a mid-twenties, HOME-OWNING, middle class, administrative type MOM! I am still in many ways the same person and I still intend for this blog to go in the same direction I had originally planned. What direction is that? Haha... There is no set definition, knowing me you know the possibilities are endless. I don't want this to be limited to a certain demographic or type of reader, so maybe one day you'll like what I'm saying, maybe one day you'll never want to return (but at least give me one more shot before totally blocking me from your existence.)
As much as I love my son, I do not want to have a blog that defines my child as all that I am. I know many people create these blogs to keep family members updated of the goings on in their life, which is perfectly fine, blogs serve as a great medium for just that. But, if that is what you're looking for from me then just keep checking up on my Facebook account. My child is a very huge part of my life and I would do anything and everything to allow him to have the happiest of lives (and at time, I am sure I will "ignore" this blog to focus on him). That being said, I am a very complex person and while there a million thoughts whirling around my head about Cole's teething, BM's, vaccines or no? etc there are as many thoughts on my hatred of Rex Ryan, my never ending quest to determine what car I want next, and the constant wondering of how KE$HA got a record deal but after many karaoke breakout performances, I am still unsigned. For me this is an opportunity to have some sort of commentary on things outside of my family life.
Yes, I will occasionally post the goings on of my family and how anything and everything has affected me or my child. After all, now when people bring up political/economical/environmental banter I can now use the "I'm worried about the future of my children" arguement. Few people without children know how to counter that one... AWESOME! All in all, this will allow me to breakaway from the day to day events which can so easily bounce between boosting and destroying my sanity. So again, to anyone and everyone reading this... feel free to throw a topic my way. Until then I'm sure there is plenty going on in the world that I can BS about... so take this with your daily coffee, margarita, cigarette, valium whatever your own personal vice may be and enjoy :)

Just starting out...
BAD DUMP BU DUMMMMM.... Drumroll please...
Welcome the season premiere of the Creature Feature Midday Show.
A not-so recent college graduate's attempt at trying out the blogging thing. Sure, I'm only 10 years behind the cool kids; but, quite frankly, sounds like my high school experience and I'm quite sure Perez Hilton was never voted Mr. Popular. After all, who wouldn't want to hear the rants, raves, praises and accolades of your average middle-class female working an administrative job? It's Mary Tyler Moore meets the early 21st story and yes, I have a kick ass hat that I occassionally throw in the air.
Anyways, for those of you wondering about the somehow awkwardly alliterative title for this blog, it spawns off of a college nickname or my drunken alter ego, the KatCreature. However, considering I'm now *ahem* grown-up this is more of a lunchbreak doppelganger where I can break away from my lifeless admin position; all the while wondering how my life was once the thrill of Wed. night karaoke til 2 am with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and $5 all you can drink Natty light. You see, when I finally came back to sobriety it was 8 am Thursday morning, Iwas trapped in a cubicle surrounded by financial reports and phone directories, expressing my genuine joy over Kris Allen's American Idol win. So now, rather than dwell on the days of yore (did someone say tequila?) I can now pretend to share in the joy of whatever the watercooler convo is. Quite frankly, I'm not sure which would be more shocking to my collegiate chums, the 8 am part or the American Idol part?
At this point and time, I'm incredibly bored at work and have another 2 hrs. in my cube listening to the phone not ring and not directing calls to people who aren't in the office (thanks, government flex schedule). So, maybe I'll try and think of a "hot" or at least lukewarm topic to discuss.
Until then if there is a topic where you have wanted to hear the opinion of your average mid-20's female with a job that allows a lot of time to kill then please... open up.
